To speak to others in a language, you must first master the language.
| Language | Description |
|---|---|
| Common Tongue | The Common Tongue does not traditonally refer to a single language, it is a term used by supernatural beings to describe the languages of mortals. In modern nights however, the term has become equated with the English language. |
| Celestial Alphabet | The language of the Elohim is said to be the first language spoken in Heaven by the angelic race. Also known as the Celestial Alphabet or Angelic Script. Whilst it isn't always obvious, it is said that all languages share a commonality with the Celestial Alphabet. |

| Mephistophelian | The Demonic language is directly derived from the Celestial Alphabet, it's harsher tones and characters are synonymous with the War in Heaven. It is also known as Mephistophelian, The Language of Lies or Fallen Script. |

| Enochian | The language of magick is a version of the Celestial Alphabet originally given to the first Mages by the Elohim. It was thought that since Humans couldn't comprehend the Celestial Alphabet, Human hybrids would suffer from the same difficulty, therefore the Elohim spoke a new language into existence, known in modern times as Enochian or Arcane Speech. Mages would eventually pass down their language to their Hunters. |

| Dark Enochian | The Dark Magick language is a twisted version of Enochian. The corruption occurred when the first Mages became Dark Mages and Liches, they learned Mephistophelian from their new masters. Over time, these dark practitioners spoke a new bastardised hybrid language into existence, becoming known as Dark Enochian. |
| Vampiric | The Vampiric language is widely accepted to have originated as an offshoot of the Mephistophelian language, first spoken by the Daeva, Incubi and Succubi. As Vampire society mixed more and more with Human society, many aspects of their language made its way into the Vampiric lexicon. Many elder vampires refer to the language as Modern Vampiric due to the extent of the influence of Common Tongue has had. |

| Garou Tongue | The Lycan language (known as Garou Tongue, High-Falutin or Shifter Speak) is the language of therianthropes. Although it is derived directly from Seelisch, it would be a stretch to call Elvish it's sister-language. |
| Seelisch | The language of the Fae, also known as Seelisch or Fairishyn is the original language of the Fae. It's slight similiarities to the Celestial Alphabet lead many to believe Seelisch was given to the Fae folk by Gaia herself. |
| Elvish | Elvish is the language of the Elves, it's immediate ancestor being Seelisch. Although similarities exist between the Evlish and Seelisch languages, the Elvish tongue has made clear distinctions between the two. |
| Deadspeak | Deadspeak is said to be the language of the dead. Scholars theorize that the language was born from the torment and frustration of Lost Souls who had spent an eternity being unable to communicate with the 'living' world. Those who claim to have mastered this language are known as Necroscopes, they claim that Deadspeak can be learned by communicating directly with the dead. |
| Old Vampiric | The existence of Old Vampiric or Elder Vampiric contradicts the commonly accepted origin of Vampiric the language. There are three mainstream schools of thought regarding the existence of Old Vampiric, those who believe the language is merely a myth created in modern nights to embellish tales of the old world, those who believe the language has been lost to time itself, and those who believe that the language is alive and well, albeit guarded by a small number of Elder Vampires who wish to retain the secretive language for their own personal use. |
